I am Jesse Odell, Connecticut Branch Manager of ROI and I want to share some tips that make a company appealing for your construction staff.
Growth & Opportunity
Some of your construction staff have desires of climbing the career ladder may be attracted to a company that promotes from within. Potential for growth is important to employees. And, not just financial growth, either. So, offering them various opportunities to do so is important. Significant duties, impressive job titles, bigger offices, etc.
Investment & Training
Providing professional growth opportunities is mutually beneficial- construction staff gets to feel more skilled, and employers get to have more skilled employees! It is important to provide the resources, tools, leadership and opportunities for employees to get the job done. Provide training, one-on-one time, time off, education seminars and more. When you focus on your employees they focus on your customers.
A Winning Environment
Many employees are motivated by factors unrelated to work. Allow construction staff flexible work schedules and gatherings outside of work. A happy work environment attracts good people and helps people who work for you do the best for the company. Focus on the positive.
Caring = Care
There is an increase in productivity in the workplace when people feel that they are cared about and recognized for their hard work. Additionally, when people feel that they are working toward something, the day-to-day stresses of the workplace don’t matter as much. Allow employees to work on what interests them and what they are proud of and you will see them care about the company and success more.

Your construction staff like working towards something. A challenging work environment allows employees to learn about themselves and their chosen field of work. Company Structure: is important for any growing organization. This includes providing guidance, organizational purpose, better communication, and clearly defining responsibilities of each individual in the organization.
The world of work is constantly changing. Individuals are not leaving because of bad bosses or horrible work hours. Individuals are leaving for better opportunities. There are various reasons that play into what employees and prospective individuals think about a company. The following tips assist in making a company appealing from a work perspective.
