Responsibilities:

  1. Assist senior engineers in the design and analysis of site civil infrastructure projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
  2. Prepare engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
  3. Conduct site visits and field surveys to gather data, assess existing conditions, and verify design parameters.
  4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.
  5. Perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions, such as hydraulic calculations, earthwork quantities, and utility sizing.
  6. Assist in the preparation of technical reports, design narratives, and permit applications for regulatory approval.
  7. Review project drawings and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  8. Participate in interdisciplinary design meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil designs with architectural and structural elements.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering design and drafting.
  10. Adhere to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  2. 3-4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and drafting, preferably in site civil projects.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software used in civil engineering.
  4. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
  5. Excellent technical skills with the ability to produce accurate engineering drawings and calculations.
  6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in work products.
  8. EIT certification preferred, with a commitment to obtaining PE licensure in the future.
  9. Knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
  10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
