Responsibilities:
- Perform structural assessments and investigations
- Develop structural engineering design reports
- Prepare design development drawings and final construction documents including specifications
- Prepare structural analysis models and perform structural designs
- Performs QA/QC and engineering review
- Review RFP and develop proposal scope of work and fee
- Oversee, mentor and train structural engineering staff
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience
- Requires field experience with conducting structural special inspections and performing structural evaluations/investigations of historic buildings, waterfront structures, office/warehouse buildings, and commercial facilities, and bridges
- Must have project management experience.
- Must have design experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood design.
- Must have a working knowledge of all federal design codes and ordinances governing the design of structures including but not limited to the NYC Building Code, International Building Code, etc.
- Must have design experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Must have knowledge in using RISA 2D/3D software or similar structural engineering analysis software.
- Must have strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail.
