Key responsibilities: 
  • Designing public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, water supply, sewers, drainage, parks, and buildings
  • Reviewing developments to ensure they comply with city rules and regulations
  • Developing Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs) to identify the city's most crucial needs
  • Managing a city's infrastructure budget and applying for state, regional, and federal funding
  • Providing technical support to departments and managing data acquisition
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field 
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience in municipal engineering, including project management
  • PE desired, EIT required 
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations affecting municipal projects
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, government agencies, and community groups
