As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in advancing renewable energy solutions. Apply your expertise and leadership to ensure the successful delivery of commercial solar projects and contribute to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Collaborate with Project Managers on technical, commercial, and logistical tasks. This includes managing permits, RFIs, submittals, staffing, technical assessments, customer interactions, and utility coordination.
  • Payment Oversight: Manage the payment application process by ensuring accurate billing. Gather necessary documentation, coordinate with Project Managers and Foremen, and work with the Accounting Department to fulfill payroll certification requirements.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to federal and state prevailing wage laws and apprentice ratios for both company and subcontractors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution and promote effective communication and teamwork.
  • Client and Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors. Ensure clear communication and high satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Administrative and Accounting Duties: Oversee subcontractor compliance, manage administrative and accounting requirements, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Department Support: Contribute to departmental improvements and leadership initiatives by offering constructive feedback and suggestions for enhancement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in construction, with a preference for background in the solar industry.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
