Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling and testing of soil, asphalt, and concrete materials in accordance with established procedures and industry standards.
  • Conduct field tests including compaction, moisture content, and strength tests to assess material quality and consistency.
  • Prepare and analyze samples, using testing equipment such as sieves, moisture meters, and concrete compression machines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of test results and observations.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on testing findings, highlighting any issues or deviations from specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures while working on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders regarding test results and material performance.
  • Travel to various job sites as required, which may include overnight stays and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in materials testing techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in construction materials testing is preferred.
  • Experience in materials testing for soil, asphalt, and concrete is highly desirable.
  • ACI Certification (Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using standard testing equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to various job sites.
