We are seeking an Electrical Journeymen and Apprentices to Join our team!

Responsibilities

 

1. Comprehend reading and drawing prints, specifications and schematics.

2. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit/Raceway using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.

3. Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes

4. Utilize all power tools, saws, threaders, knockout punches, wire tuggers and hydraulic benders.

5. Dig trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.

6. Operate all equipment including trenchers, back hoe, and lift trucks in a safe manner.

7. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.

8. Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in GDC Safety Policy Handbook, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.

9. Operate two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jack hammers.

10. Operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmission.

11. Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.

12. Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts, both electric and gasoline powered.

13. Work energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in GDC Safety Policy.

14. Install wiring and make branch wire terminations in junction boxes and panel boards.

15. Install wiring and make feeder wire terminations in junction boxes and switch boards.
Qualifications

-Must have field experience (5+ years preferred)
-Basic electrical and mechanical skills
-Well organized, motivated with a can-do attitude!
-Possess own tools necessary for electrical work
-Ability to travel to and from job sites
-Ability to work 40 hours a week
-Punctual and reliable
-Reliable transportation
-Ability to provide 2 trade references
