Key responsibilities:
- Receive and review RFPs from customers and inside sales reps
- Visit sites to assess site conditions, access issues, etc.
- Determine the manpower, equipment and material needed to perform work required for the projects, including collaboration with the operations department
- Develop relationships with and obtain costs from various suppliers, subcontractors and disposal facilities
- Write proposals, cost schedules and assumptions, as well as completing more formal bid documents provided by engineers
- Prepare bid submittal documents
- Prepare turnovers to operations for awarded projects with all contact information, scope descriptions and other details necessary for project managers and crews to perform the work
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a related degree to Construction, Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science
- 5-10 years of related experience developing estimates for environmental remediation
- Direct experience in site remediation, earth moving, waste disposal and related services
- Familiarity with innovate technologies such as in-situ remediation, ground water treatment and vapor mitigation are pluses.
- Strong writing and communications skills
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher
- Ability to bring work and/or relationships with customers is desired
- Ability to assist with business development
- Familiarity with blueprints and design drawings
- Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat. CADD not required but a working knowledge is a plus.
- A valid driver’s license
