Responsibilities:

  • Gain expertise in OSHA regulations and Health and Safety practices.
  • Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including the creation of all necessary federal and state documentation, and manage associated paperwork.
  • Safely handle hazardous waste containers at client sites and oversee loading/unloading of waste from vehicles.
  • Conduct inspections of safety equipment and hazardous waste.
  • Occasionally perform and document Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits for clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by delivering innovative solutions and support that align with our commitment to excellence.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations to ensure client compliance (e.g., RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
  • Implement spill response measures, including spill assessment and cleanup efforts.
  • Participate in rotating on-call duties as part of our Emergency Response team (optional).
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in hazardous waste management, or relevant military experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team or independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex issues, devise solutions, and implement strategies for positive outcomes.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to work overtime regularly and maintain a flexible schedule (Monday through Friday).
  • Commitment to complete a 2-3 year professional advancement program in hazardous waste management.
  • Safety-sensitive role involving frequent handling of hazardous chemicals and biological waste, including the use of personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to respond to the office within one hour during Emergency Response shifts.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening (including THC).
  • Participation in a random drug screening program (including THC) upon employment is mandatory.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds regularly.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Previous success in a customer service role.
  • Active HAZWOPER 24 or 40-hour certification.
  • Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
