Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of geotechnical engineering services, including planning, directing, and overseeing projects.
- Supervise the preparation of geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications, plans, and cost estimates.
- Track tasks, budgets, and ensure commitments to clients are met.
- Manage, mentor, and train geotechnical staff.
- Collaborate with other engineering departments and the business development team.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and internal staff.
- Travel to project sites, client offices, and other Arora offices, including overnight travel.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in NJ, NY, PA, or IL (or ability to obtain one within 6 months).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience.
- Proven experience with geotechnical software (gINT, ALLPILE, GEO-SLOPE, GRLWEAP, LPILE, PLAXIS, SHAFT, SETTLE3D) and Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel).
- Experience with transportation agency standards and procedures (NJ, NY, PA, or IL preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate construction sites safely.
- Must be willing to travel, including extended periods.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and traverse difficult terrain.
