ROI is currently partnering with a well-respected national firm in their search for a Construction Inspector in CT. This opportunity presents a fantastic growth track within the construction industry. An ideal candidate should have an understanding of construction materials testing and engineering principals.
Responsibilities
- Performs construction and geotechnical related laboratory testing.
- Provides clear documentation of testing results.
- Communicate information to Project Managers and discusses accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
- Ensure the proper organization and appearance of the laboratory area for which he/she is responsible, including keeping the area and equipment clean and uncluttered.
- Assist the Materials Testing Manager with overseeing calibration and maintenance of the laboratory equipment.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Perform pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Responsible for maintaining quality standards on all testing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Ability to obtain certifications from OSHA, NICET, NETTCP, ICC and ACI within first year of employment is required

- Lifting to and over 50 lbs. in both a vertical and horizontal range of motion.
