Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Hands on leadership and management of the MEP Design team
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design projects
- Monitor and ensure the successful delivery of projects, including budgets, schedules, and technical QA/QC
- Supervise and mentor staff and manage staff resource allocation
- Cultivate and sustain long-term client relationships
- Lead business capture activities including working with marketing on proposals, client meetings, and identifying areas for business development
- Consistent and strategic communication with senior leadership, including the CEO, on project status, challenges, budget, and profitability
- Local and regional travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- PE License (and ability to obtain PE license in CT and surrounding states)
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including delivery of MEP design projects
- Experience with all phases of engineering design projects, including technical delivery and project management
- Ability to manage both mechanical and electrical design projects
- Working knowledge of MEP design software, including AutoCAD, and relevant design codes and standards
- Strong client relations skills and experience with both state and municipal clients
- Proven business development and business capture abilities
- Experience managing and successfully developing staff
