Job Title: Shop-Restoration Carpenter (Contract-to-Hire Position)
Summary/Overview: We are seeking a skilled Shop Carpenter to repair and restore antique/historical doors and windows. This position requires experience with a variety of shop tools and techniques, including fabrication, repair, adjustments, glazing, epoxy application, finishing, sanding, and detailed repair work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable replicating broken pieces to match existing ones and possess a strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities:

Repair and restore antique/historical doors and windows.

Utilize shop tools for fabrication, repair, and adjustments.

Perform glazing, epoxy application, finishing, and sanding.

Execute high-detail repair work.

Replicate broken pieces to match existing components.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Collaborate effectively with the shop team.

Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:

2-5 years of experience in a shop environment (preferred) OR 5+ years of experience as a finish carpenter.

Proficiency in using routers, joiners, saws, grinders, chisels, and other woodworking tools.

Experience with window & door repair techniques.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Coachable and willing to learn.
Pay Range: $28-$33 per hour
