Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems for multi-story buildings, considering both gravity and lateral loads (wind, seismic, etc.).
  • Develop detailed structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood materials, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
  • Utilize structural modeling software (e.g., SAFE, Ram Structural System, E-tabs, etc) to perform complex structural analyses and simulations.
  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings for construction and permitting purposes.
  • Review and assess structural drawings, designs, and calculations prepared by other team members for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide on-site support and structural troubleshooting as necessary during the construction phase.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to structural engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in structural engineering, particularly in multi-story building design.
  • Experience designing for gravity and lateral loads in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
  • Proficiency with structural modeling software 
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, structural analysis techniques, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
