We are currently collaborating with a growing and highly respected engineering firm in the NYC area, looking for a Resident Engineer to join their growing construction management team! Our client is known for providing a strong growth track, diverse project portfolio and competitive compensation package.
Responsibilities:
- Act as liaison between contractors, site supervisors, and project engineers to resolve on-site issues, clarify project requirements, and ensure smooth coordination and alignment on project objectives
- Maintain project updates for community boards, the public, and city, state, and federal agencies.
- Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports on construction progress, site conditions, and any challenges encountered while maintaining comprehensive records of on-site activities.
- Provide inspection of daily construction work to ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications, minimum testing of materials, review of contractor submittals and requests for information and coordination with the contractor.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to federal, local safety regulations.
- Coordinating the inspection activities and quality control inspection, confirming that the work adheres to the specific contract requirements.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering from ABET accredited school.
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer
- Professional Engineer or EIT
- OSHA training
Compensation/Benefits:
- Full-time position
- 150-210k Annual salary range (Contingent on experience and qualifications)
