We are currently collaborating with a growing and highly respected engineering firm in the NYC area, looking for a Special Inspector to join their growing jobsite monitoring division! Our client is known for providing a strong growth track, diverse project portfolio and competitive compensation package.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform MEP and architectural inspections on works throughout and surrounding New York City, in accordance with applicable code
  • Guarantee seamless project delivery
  • Manage and deliver all milestones through each project life cycle
  • Prepare and execute accurate detailed reporting and associated documentation timely

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or architecture (mechanical engineering preferred)
  • ICC Commercial Mechanical Certification
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in engineering and Special Inspections
  • Expertise working onsite and conforming to drawings, specifications, and the inspection plan(s)
  • Strong familiarity with local code requirements and associated governing agencies
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
  • Excellent planning, organization, and detail orientation skills
  • Experience working with contractors, time frame management, and industry applied methods
  • Maintain safety at all times, and perform work in compliance with local and federal standards.
