Join a leading MEP/FP Engineering and Consulting firm as a Fire Protection Engineer. Our team of experienced professionals is passionate about protecting lives and property through innovative, code-compliant, and efficient designs. As we continue to grow, we're seeking an Engineer with a passion for fire protection to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to support and lead the design and analysis of fire protection systems, including wet and dry sprinkler systems, standpipes, fire pumps, and special suppression systems. Responsibilities:

  • Design fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local codes, and client specifications.
  • Develop calculations (hydraulic modeling, system demand, etc.) and layout drawings using AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in design review meetings and construction administration.
  • Prepare construction documents including plans, details, and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to support surveys, inspections, and commissioning efforts.
  • Assist with project planning, estimating, and scheduling.
  • Stay up to date with code changes, new technologies, and industry best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in fire protection or MEP consulting (fire protection focus preferred).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit required; experience with hydraulic calculation software (e.g., HydraCALC, HASS) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes (especially NFPA 13, 14, 20).
  • EIT certification required; PE license or NICET Level II/III in Fire Protection a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

 

Pay Range:

$80,000 - $105,000
