Bring Your Leadership to a Busy and Respected Contractor – Superintendent Opportunity in Portland, ME
We’re partnering with a well-established and reputable contractor in the Portland, ME area that is actively seeking experienced Superintendents to join their growing team. With a strong pipeline of commercial projects—including tenant fit-outs, mixed-use retail, and multifamily developments—our client is looking to add team-oriented professionals who can lead in the field and help drive projects forward. Responsibilities:

Help oversee day-to-day field operations on commercial construction sites.

Monitor and coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and materials.

Ensure construction schedules are maintained and updated regularly.

Conduct daily site inspections and enforce safety and quality standards.

Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, field reports, and RFIs.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and architects.

Coordinate site logistics and manage deliveries to minimize disruption.

Work to resolve issues that may arise during construction in a timely and effective manner.

Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a superintendent role.

Proven track record managing ground-up and interior commercial projects.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).

OSHA 30 certification required.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Local knowledge construction regulations and logistics is a plus.
Pay Range: $45.00/hr. - $55.00/hr. Plus overtime opportunities
