Job Description

We are collaborating with a highly regarded and expanding multi-disciplinary engineering firm in the NYC area,  to find a Civil Engineer (Land Development) to join the team. This position will support project teams in planning, designing, and delivering site and civil engineering assignments for a diverse variety of projects in NYC. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform site layout, grading design, drainage design, and utility design for land development, transportation, or municipal projects.

  • Conduct stormwater management analysis and prepare erosion and sediment control designs.

  • Assist with roadway, parking lot, and sidewalk design, including horizontal and vertical alignments.

  • Prepare permit packages for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (e.g., zoning, environmental, stormwater, utility permits)

    • Develop reports, specifications, studies, and permit applications.

  • Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, environmental scientists, and other discipline teams as needed.

  • Analyze and interpret technical instructions in mathematical, diagrammatic, or written form.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 - 6 years of relevant experience required

  • EIT Preferred and ability to obtain PE license within a few years

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Familiarity with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, stormwater modeling tools, or similar platforms 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Pay Range: $90,000- $130,000 annual salary.  Commensurate with experience.
