Location: Fairfield, New Jersey

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveying Professional with 2–4 years of experience in the industry. The ideal candidate will either possess a surveying degree or be actively pursuing one (tuition reimbursement provided), and should be proficient in both field data collection and office-based drafting using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys for a variety of projects, including single-family homes, shopping centers, roadways, warehouses, as-builts, and construction stakeouts.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret field data using GPS, total stations, and other modern surveying equipment.

  • Assist in preparing survey plats, topographic maps, and construction staking documents using AutoCAD and other CAD-based software.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and drafters to ensure data accuracy and project goals are met.

  • Perform QA/QC on survey data and final deliverables.

  • Maintain and calibrate field equipment as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of land surveying experience.

  • Degree in Land Surveying or related field (or currently enrolled in a surveying program).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience preferred).

  • Familiarity with surveying equipment including GPS and total stations.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively in the office.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
