Job Description
The Senior Environmental Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary environmental projects from planning through execution. This role requires advanced project management capabilities, technical expertise in environmental assessment and remediation, and the ability to support business development initiatives. The position involves oversight of field investigations, regulatory coordination, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring high-quality technical deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning and development across a variety of environmental programs, including defining project scope, managing budgets, developing schedules, and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Support proposal preparation and business development efforts, including client engagement and targeted marketing initiatives
- Apply innovative problem-solving skills to address complex technical and regulatory challenges across multi-disciplinary projects
- Oversee site inspections and ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping with strong attention to detail
- Coordinate and manage field activities, including soil borings, groundwater monitoring well installation, sub-slab soil gas installation, and groundwater elevation surveys
- Conduct media sampling and analysis, including data reduction and interpretation
- Prepare and manage state regulatory submittals for Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire
- Provide technical training, mentorship, and oversight to junior staff
- Perform data collection, field studies, estimating, calculations, and project file management
- Support existing and new clients through technical consulting, networking, and business development activities
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related science discipline
- 7+ years of experience conducting ASTM and MassDEP-related assessment and remedial activities
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to work independently
- Strong client management and business development skills
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience preparing formal reports
- Proven leadership, organizational, and team coordination abilities
- Ability to collect field data, perform asset inspections for water and wastewater infrastructure, and assess roadway and utility assets
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to perform fieldwork in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, rain, and snow
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during field and office work
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline
- Experience working on environmental projects across multiple New England states
- Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification or the ability to obtain LSP certification within two years
