Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated Environmental Specialist II to support environmental compliance and monitoring activities across industrial and operational facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level environmental professional who enjoys a balance of fieldwork, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with operations and management teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with environmental monitoring, inspections, and reporting, along with a strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance across air, water, stormwater, and solid waste programs while supporting audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental monitoring activities, including stormwater inspections, sampling, and reporting in accordance with permit and SWPPP requirements.

  • Collect, track, and maintain environmental compliance data, records, and facility operating logs.

  • Support environmental systems such as landfill gas, leachate management, and air and water compliance programs.

  • Assist with internal and external environmental audits, regulatory inspections, and monthly compliance reporting.

  • Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors performing environmental monitoring and system maintenance.

  • Review environmental data, identify trends or compliance concerns, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support environmental training initiatives to promote regulatory compliance and best practices.

  • Collaborate with operations, safety, and management teams to ensure environmental requirements are integrated into daily operations.

  • Perform additional environmental and compliance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Chemistry, or a related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, or a related role in industrial, waste management, or consulting environments.

  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations related to air, water, stormwater, and solid waste.

  • Experience with environmental sampling, inspections, data tracking, and regulatory documentation.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field locations as required.


Pay Range: $25.00/hr. - $27.00/hr.
