Job Description
As a Structural Project Engineer you will be working in various areas of the company and collaborating closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Construction Teams to ensure the successful delivery of structural building projects. Projects include commercial, residential, equipment support, and specialty structural engineering work. The Structural Project Engineer is involved from the conceptual and pre-design phases through construction administration and project close-out, performing structural analysis and design, preparing construction documents, and supporting field activities.
Responsibilities:

Assist Project Managers and senior engineers in all aspects of structural project delivery

Perform structural analysis and design for building projects including commercial, residential, equipment support, and specialty structures
Read and interpret project documents (architectural, structural, and related disciplines) in detail -
Assist with pre-design and pre-construction activities, including development of structural systems, interpretation of drawings, and coordination with other disciplines

Utilize structural engineering software, custom spreadsheets, and analysis tools to complete design calculations

Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and supporting construction documents

Ensure all structural designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and contract documents

Assist with constructability reviews and value engineering efforts

Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent and contract requirements

Participate in construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and performing site visits/inspections of work in progress

Assist with preparation of project status reports and participate in project meetings as required

Maintain organized project documentation in accordance with company and contract requirements

Assist in project close-out activities
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering required
- Working knowledge of structural provisions of applicable building codes
- Experience with structural engineering and analysis software
- Ability to prepare and review structural calculations and construction documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with contractors, clients, and other professionals
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Excellent computer skills
Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually. Commensurate with experience.
