Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) to support active environmental remediation projects throughout New Jersey. This position will report to the shop in Farmingdale/Wall, NJ and work under the direction of a Senior Field Supervisor.
This role primarily involves operating heavy equipment on environmental remediation sites, including soil excavation, groundwater treatment system installation support, and underground storage tank removals. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, and experienced working in environmental or construction-based field environments.
Responsibilities:

Operate excavators, skid steers, and front-end loaders (minimum 5 years experience required)

Perform soil excavation, removal, and site grading on remediation projects

Assist with underground storage tank (UST) removals and tank pulls

Support trenching and limited excavation work

Assist with installation of groundwater treatment systems

Follow all project-specific health and safety plans (HASP)

Maintain equipment in safe operating condition

Utilize proper PPE and adhere to OSHA and site safety standards

Coordinate daily activities with Senior Field Supervisor and site personnel

Travel to various job sites throughout New Jersey
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5+ years of experience operating excavators, skid steers, and loaders

Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification

Ability to pass a physical, and drug screen (Hazmat)

Experience working on environmental remediation sites preferred

CDL Class A with air brakes strongly preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week)
Pay Range: $35.00/hr.- $40.00/hr.
