Job Description
We are seeking N-Licensed Wastewater Treatment Operators to support industrial and municipal treatment facilities throughout New Jersey. This role is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems in accordance with NJDEP and facility-specific permit requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with strong process knowledge, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance and plant performance.
Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems in compliance with NJPDES permits

Perform routine plant inspections, sampling, and laboratory testing (pH, DO, TSS, etc.)

Monitor flow rates, chemical feed systems, pumps, clarifiers, and other treatment equipment

Adjust treatment processes to maintain permit compliance and optimize performance

Complete daily logs, DMR support documentation, and operational reports

Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment

Coordinate with supervisors, maintenance teams, and regulatory personnel as needed

Maintain compliance with all OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Requirements:

Active NJDEP N License (N-1, N-2, N-3, or N-4) required

Experience operating wastewater treatment systems (industrial or municipal preferred)

Strong understanding of activated sludge, chemical treatment, and/or physical treatment processes

Ability to pass background check, physical, and drug screen

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Additional licenses highly desirable:

S (Collection System) License

C (Water Treatment) License

T (Public Water) License
Pay Range: $35.00/hr. – $45.00/hr
