We’re hiring an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee ground-up and interior commercial projects throughout New York City. Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily on-site construction activities across multiple trades.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project management teams.
• Maintain and enforce the project schedule; proactively manage milestones and deadlines.
• Conduct daily site walks, quality control inspections, and subcontractor meetings.
• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and NYC DOB regulations.
• Review and interpret drawings, blueprints specifications, and scope documents.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and site documentation.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, manpower planning, and sequencing.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with at least 3 years as a Superintendent.
• Proven experience managing NYC commercial projects (ground-up and/or interior fit-out).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and sequencing.
• Familiarity with NYC DOB inspections, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
• Travel may be required in NYC, NY State and NJ
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage subcontractor performance.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
Pay Range:
$100,000 – $150,000 annually, based on experience.
