Location: West Wareham, Massachusetts
Job Description
As a Utility Operator, you will support daily landfill operations by assisting with traffic control, site maintenance, and general facility upkeep. This position requires hands-on labor in an outdoor environment, operation of light equipment, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and comfortable working in all weather conditions while contributing to a safe and efficient site operation.
Position Responsibilities:

Check trucks in and out of the landfill and direct on-site traffic as needed

Perform manual labor including paper picking and maintaining a clean, presentable landfill

Conduct yard work such as cutting weeds and general grounds maintenance

Climb and tarp train cars as required

Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including painting and janitorial duties

Operate light equipment safely and effectively

Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

Complete miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:

Minimum one year of stable employment history in a similar environment

Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Ability to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions

Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures

Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork
Pay Range: $20.00/hr. - $22.00/hr.
