Job Description
We are seeking an Industrial Hygienist / HAZMAT Consultant to support environmental consulting projects throughout the Philadelphia region. This role focuses on performing asbestos, lead, and mold surveys, indoor air quality investigations, and environmental sampling to support remediation and compliance projects.
The ideal candidate is a motivated environmental professional with field experience in hazardous materials inspections, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining regulatory compliance and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct HAZMAT surveys in commercial, residential, and institutional buildings for materials such as asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, and mold
- Perform asbestos abatement monitoring in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and AHERA regulations
- Collect environmental samples for asbestos, lead, mold, soil, and groundwater analysis
- Assist with preparation of abatement designs, technical specifications, and supporting documentation
- Prepare field logs, sampling records, and environmental reports summarizing findings and data
- Work in a variety of field environments including roofs, ladders, and crawlspaces
- Travel to project sites throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland
- Maintain organized documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental consulting, industrial hygiene, or HAZMAT inspection
- Experience conducting asbestos, lead, or mold sampling and inspections preferred
- Experience with asbestos abatement monitoring preferred
- Experience with soil and groundwater sampling preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Additional Certifications:
- Asbestos Building Inspector License
- Asbestos Air Monitoring License
- Lead Paint Inspector and/or Risk Assessor License
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
