Job Description

Are you a driven Property Manager who understands the importance of customer service, looking to support the daily operations of a luxury Back Bay apartment building? Our client, a Boston-based developer who has helped shape the skyline of Boston, is looking for a driven Assistant Property Manager to assist with handling resident relations, resident notification, rent collection, lease administration, and maintenance coordination. Responsibilities:

 

  • Tenant Relations & Customer Service:

  •  Acting as a point of contact for residents, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and fostering positive relationships.

  •  Communicate with residents about building upkeep and scheduling repairs to their apartments or common areas.

  • Tour vacant or occupied apartments, process rental applications, screen potential residents, run credit checks, and prepare new lease agreements.

  • Assist with the preparation of lease paperwork and move-in process and coordination.

  • Prepare lease renewal paperwork for distribution to residents. Follow-up on timely returns.

  • Assist with rent collections – contact delinquent residents and notify residents if rental account is not up to date (partial payment, rent increase, etc.)

  • Monitor service requests with maintenance staff or vendors to ensure timely repairs and satisfied residents

  • Maintain organized resident files, prepare weekly and monthly leasing activity reports, and assist the Property Manager as needed

Qualifications:
 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, guests, contractors, and other staff

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • 4-7 years of experience in property management or real estate specific to luxury residential properties

  • Understanding of rental laws and lease agreements

Pay Range: $80,000 – $95,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
