Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Engineer Consultant, you will support both field and office-based project work, contributing to environmental investigations, remediation efforts, and engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in remedial design under the direction of a Professional Engineer
- Conducting field investigations, including soil, groundwater, and air sampling
- Supporting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Assisting with environmental remediation projects, including system design, implementation, and monitoring
- Preparing technical reports, data summaries, and regulatory documentation
- Performing engineering calculations and supporting the development of design plans
- Coordinating with subcontractors, laboratories, and project stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Maintaining accurate field notes, logs, and project documentation
- Supporting senior engineers and project managers with day-to-day project execution
Qualifications:
We are seeking motivated professionals with strong technical skills and a hands-on approach. Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant environmental consulting or engineering experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry standards
- Experience with field sampling methods and environmental investigation techniques
- Proficiency with engineering software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience supporting remediation system design and implementation
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and permitting processes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Pay Range: $75,000 – $100,000 annually
