Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Project Manager, your work will support both field operations and technical project execution across a variety of environmental and remediation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing technical leadership across all phases of environmental remediation projects including planning, permitting, investigation, design, construction, and long-term monitoring
• Planning and managing environmental data collection efforts including soil, sediment, groundwater, indoor air, and soil vapor sampling
• Managing remedial construction oversight, including excavation, system installation, and site restoration activities
• Evaluating and interpreting environmental data and performing engineering/scientific analysis to develop solutions to complex site challenges
• Developing conceptual site models and evaluating contaminant fate and transport across multiple environmental media
• Preparing technical documents including work plans, reports, and design submittals (drawings, specifications, and cost estimates)
• Supporting business development efforts, including preparing proposals and Statements of Qualification (SOQs) and assisting in securing new work
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships while collaborating with internal leadership and project teams
• Mentoring and training junior staff to support their professional development
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with applicable environmental regulations, including the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)
Qualifications:
We are seeking a driven professional with strong technical expertise and leadership experience. Ideal candidates will have:
• 10+ years of environmental consulting or related experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil/environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science (Master’s preferred)
• Strong experience managing environmental investigation and remediation projects, including field data collection and construction oversight
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, particularly the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP)
• Proven ability to prepare and lead proposals, work plans, data reports, RI/FS reports, and design documents
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
• Professional licensure such as P.E. or Licensed Site Professional (LSP)
• Experience with local, state, and federal permitting processes related to environmental cleanup projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to complex field and project challenges
• Experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development
Pay Range:
$90,000 – $150,000 annually
