Entry Level Civil Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Site Civil Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates or candidates with limited professional experience who are eager to gain hands-on experience supporting the planning, design, and implementation of civil site development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and gain exposure to a variety of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Assist in the design and preparation of site layout plans, grading plans, utility plans, and erosion control for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
• Perform basic engineering calculations related to drainage, earthwork, water and sewer systems, and stormwater management.
• Use software tools like AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, or StormCAD for project design and modeling.
• Support senior engineers in preparing construction documents, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to collect data and ensure project compliance with design and safety standards.
• Review and interpret survey data, geotechnical reports, and local permitting requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and local agencies during the permitting and approval process.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with quality control processes.

Requirements:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience in civil/site design (internships, co-op experience, or academic projects are considered).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic knowledge of design codes and standards (e.g., AASHTO, local DOT, municipal standards) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• EIT certification (or in progress) is preferred but not required.

Pay Range: $60,000–$70,000
