Responsibilities:


As a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Consultant, your expertise will play a key role in supporting compliance programs and promoting safe work environments. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintain environmental, health, and safety compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement written health and safety programs including Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Respiratory Protection, Electrical Safety, Hot Work, and Machine Guarding.
  • Conduct workplace risk assessments and evaluate potentially hazardous operations and work practices.
  • Perform workplace safety inspections and compliance audits, evaluating hazardous material management, personal protective equipment usage, and safe work practices.
  • Engage directly with employees and supervisors during inspections and assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify potential occupational health hazards and assist with implementation of practical control measures.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally regarding workplace safety concerns, regulatory requirements, and compliance recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver Environmental Health & Safety training programs for employees and management teams.
  • Prepare technical reports, inspection findings, corrective action plans, and other compliance documentation.
  • Assist organizations in maintaining and improving health and safety management systems.
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of quality and client service.


Qualifications:


We're seeking a motivated professional who brings technical knowledge, professionalism, and strong communication skills to every engagement. Ideal candidates will have:
  • Intrinsically motivated, willing, and able to continue gaining EH&S expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Minimum of 5-8+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing OSHA compliance programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
  • Valid United States driver's license.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:

 
  • Prior consulting or multi-site EH&S experience.
  • Completion of industry-recognized training programs such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, DOT/IATA Hazardous Materials Transportation, or similar certifications.
  • Active membership in professional safety organizations.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, CIH, ASP, or similar credentials.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and employee training programs.


Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000 Commensurate with Experience
