We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager to support a wide range of state-led and federal environmental programs, as well as environmental management efforts associated with regional infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level environmental professional to apply technical expertise, manage remediation projects, collaborate directly with clients and regulators, and mentor project teams. Responsibilities:
As an Environmental Project Manager, your work will support environmental investigation, remediation, compliance, and project management efforts across a variety of sites. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing ASTM Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Reports
-
Preparing Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) Immediate Response Action (IRA) Reports
-
Preparing MCP Release Abatement Measure (RAM) Reports
-
Developing Health and Safety Plans (HASPs)
-
Preparing Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans
-
Preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
-
Completing regulatory permit filings, including:
-
Tier II reporting
-
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting
-
Air Quality Source Registration (AQSR)
-
Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance
-
-
Preparing soil boring logs, monitoring well construction logs, data tables, maps, and figures
-
Overseeing and performing field sampling activities, including:
-
Soil sampling
-
Groundwater sampling
-
Soil vapor sampling
-
Indoor air sampling
-
-
Providing field oversight for environmental programs, including:
-
Health and safety compliance
-
UST removals
-
Soil excavation activities
-
Boring installations
-
-
Developing project budgets, scopes of work, contracts, and proposals
-
Communicating directly with clients regarding project progress, technical issues, and deliverables
-
Providing technical and QA/QC review of project reports and deliverables
-
Managing projects from initiation through completion, including:
-
Overseeing and delegating tasks to support staff
-
Managing project scope, schedule, and budget
-
Coordinating subcontractors
-
Reviewing project invoicing
-
Maintaining client relationships
-
Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly motivated environmental professional with strong technical expertise and project management capabilities. Ideal candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related scientific field
-
8+ years of directly related environmental consulting experience
-
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
-
Experience preparing environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance reports
-
Experience with MCP reporting, including IRA and RAM documentation preferred
-
Experience managing environmental projects, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
-
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting requirements
-
Ability to oversee and perform environmental field activities
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Valid driver’s license
-
Ability to successfully pass a CORI background check
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) projects
-
Licensed Site Professional (LSP) track experience or LSP license preferred
-
Experience with state and federal remediation programs
-
Experience managing subcontractors and field teams
-
Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
-
Experience supporting infrastructure, transportation, or large-scale environmental projects
-
Experience mentoring junior environmental staff
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 annually
