Waste/Water Treatment System Operator PT Windsor

We are seeking an experienced Wastewater / Water Treatment System Operator to operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial water and wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of treatment processes, demonstrate a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, and have the ability to perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor treatment processes, including but not limited to:

  • Reverse osmosis

  • Ion exchange

  • Micro/nanofiltration

  • Particulate filtration

  • pH adjustment

  • Chromium reduction

  • Cyanide destruction

  • Solids settling and removal

  • Pumps, mixers, motors/VFDs, valves, and treatment instrumentation

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems.

• Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations.

• Complete preventative maintenance activities such as oil, coolant, filter, pump head, and seal replacements, equipment sampling, and instrument calibration.

• Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, repair, and regulatory records.

• Conduct routine daily inspections of treatment systems.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety and environmental regulations.

• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and system upsets as needed.

• Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical diagrams.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments to inspect and verify equipment performance.

• Follow established client and company safety standards and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and troubleshooting equipment.

• Experience troubleshooting industrial electronic control systems, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.

• Experience using precision measuring instruments and diagnostic equipment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform maintenance activities including standing, climbing ladders, bending, and working in industrial environments.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is preferred.

• Valid Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Operator License (grade level as applicable).

• 1–5+ years of related water or wastewater treatment operations experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of industrial treatment processes and environmental regulations.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems and automated controls.

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.

• OSHA 10, OSHA 40, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Confined Space Entry training are highly desirable.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments with exposure to chemicals, weather conditions, and treatment-related odors.

• Position requires physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing.

• Shift work, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
