Plant Mechanic
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Shift: Primarily 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 2:00 PM) with flexibility to cover 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM as needed. Weekend coverage may be required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Install new equipment and relocate or modify existing machinery.
• Assist outside contractors with equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on all production equipment.
• Work closely with production supervisors to make machine adjustments that minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Diagnose equipment issues and implement timely repairs to support continuous operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with industrial maintenance, manufacturing equipment, or a related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, machine controls, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ability to safely and confidently operate hand and power tools.
• Must provide your own basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional evening hours as business needs require.
