Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Environmental Scientist for our upcoming project in the Vernon area. The ideal candidate will have a background in Environmental Science, experience with phase I and II reports, MCP reporting and project knowledge along with a strong background for field sampling duties. They will be responsible for completing office and fieldwork such as data reporting related to remediation oversight, multimedia sampling, monitoring well installation, UST removal, assisting with remediation of contaminated sites, and much more. Must possess ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues, clients, property officials, subcontractors and regulatory officials.

Position Responsibilities:
- Must travel throughout the work day to conduct Groundwater, Wastewater, Soil, Air and Vapor sampling and assessments at environmental sites
- Participate in construction oversite and document subcontractor work, prepare technical reports, maintain equipment calibration logs, record field notes, perform general labor and maintenance activity
- Collect and maintain data, charts, and figures; prepare detailed design plans and specifications; report preparation and data analysis of findings; prepare and distribute submittals
- Document and report in accordance with applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Managing subcontractors, cost estimating, and management of the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks
- Conduct remediation construction bid evaluations, soil and groundwater remediation, vapor intrusion evaluations/mitigation and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology or related field required,
- 0-2 years of fieldwork experience gaining knowledge regarding state and federal regulations.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER (Can help obtain)
- Experience with management, design and implementation of site remediation, as well as, management of remediation contractors
- Field work required; must have reliable transportation to travel between field sites
- Adhere to Health & Safety Standards in all field-related activities.
