Job Description

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Inspection of compacted fills, footings, ground improvement, deep foundations, retaining walls, utilities, asphalt, concrete, sitework elements, and rebar
  • Ability to use tools such as a lump hammer, shovel, hand auger, Nuclear Density Gauge.
  • Monitoring on-site pile driving
  • Conducting construction and drilling oversight, specifically during steel installation
  • Performing compaction and concrete testing
  • Perform/Inspect field testing of soils and concrete to determine if construction elements meet acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document
  • Writing detailed reports and field notes on construction projects and work performed
  • Perform various environmental testing and sampling including but not limited to Nuclear Density soil testing,
  • Conducts pile inspections, inspections of deep dynamic compaction process
  • Observes and documents utility installation
  • Prepares samples of materials for laboratory testing
  • Maintains daily logs of construction and inspection activities and completes daily progress reports

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of construction inspection experience
  • A.S or B.S in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Science or a related field preferred
  • Troxler Traning preferred
  • OSHA-10 or OSHA-40 Hazwoper preferred
  • ACI and/or NICET Certifications preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to access job sites
