Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of land development projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams consisting of engineers, designers, drafters, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication.
  • Develop and oversee project scope, budget, and schedule, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies, including analysis of site conditions, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and reports related to site development, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes related to land development and stormwater management.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and support staff, mentoring and fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to address project requirements, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development, site civil, and stormwater management projects.
  • Proven experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with municipalities and regulatory agencies on permitting and approvals.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green infrastructure.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting staff development.
