Resource Options, Inc. is very excited to have had an opportunity to interview Vincent Camin; Search Consultant (Long Island City, NY Consulting and Design group) for an internal spotlight. Hearing his views on career development and working with technical professionals is refreshing and a must read for you.
Question 1: What got you into your search consultant position?
Vincent Camin’s Answer: Prior to starting at Resource Options, I landed my first job as a Life Insurance Sales Agent quickly after graduating from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics, in May 2018. After a few months as a Sales Agent, I realized it wasn’t the best fit for me and I started to look for new opportunities. In my search, I reached out to a recruiting agency that referred me to Resource Options. I enjoy working with others, meeting new people and was looking for growth opportunities. So, when Jennifer Monroe (Marketing Associate at Resource Options) reached out to discuss the Recruiting opportunity, I knew this was a chance to build my career around what I ultimately enjoyed and was looking for. 
Question 2: What do you love most about your search consultant job?
Vincent Camin’s Answer: I love many things about my job. I would say learning about the construction and building industry would be my favorite aspect. I love that I can work as a consulting and design recruiter, while also learning about the technical professional professions that we hire for, and having the opportunity to visit job sites keeps things interesting. I am always looking forward to working with new positions.
Question 3: What do you do when you’re not at Resource Options?
Vincent Camin’s Answer: When I’m not at Resource Options, I enjoy doing a variety of different things. I like to stay active by going to the gym or attending boxing classes. Also, I enjoy reading books about business and self-development. Since moving to NYC 6 months ago, I also enjoy going out with friends and exploring new parts of Manhattan. Occasionally, I will go to upstate NY to enjoy hiking, hunting, fishing, as well as my unordinary hobby, beekeeping.
