What initially drew you to the recruiting field, and how did you get started ROI?
After spending 15 years in the retail industry, I noticed the decline of brick-and-mortar stores and saw an opportunity to leverage my skills in relationship-building and team management in a new field: staffing and recruiting. I decided to take a shot at this new venture and joined ROI as a recruiter.
Starting at the entry level, I worked diligently to build strong relationships and industry connections. These efforts paid off as I steadily advanced within the company. My journey at ROI has been marked by continuous professional development, driven by the robust network I cultivated over time.
From my initial impression of ROI, I was captivated by the success stories shared by the people I interviewed and the longstanding tenure of many employees. Every client and candidate we assist is part of our ongoing success story. One particular client in New Hampshire stands out as a testament to our commitment and effectiveness. This client was initially in dire need of site representatives, facing significant staffing challenges. Recognizing the urgency and importance of their situation, we mobilized our resources to provide them with highly qualified personnel.
Our efforts paid off, and we successfully placed five exceptional individuals who not only met but exceeded the client’s expectations. As a result of our consistent quality and reliability, the client has significantly expanded their operations and now relies exclusively on our services for their staffing needs. The advice I give to every person I work with is straightforward yet powerful: there are things you can control and things you can create. To achieve success, you must focus on being organized, timely, and cultivating good habits.
Organization is the foundation of productivity. When you keep your workspace and schedule well-ordered, you can manage tasks efficiently and reduce stress. Start by setting clear goals, prioritizing tasks, and breaking them down into manageable steps. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, and planners to stay on track. An organized approach ensures you always know what needs to be done and when.
Punctuality is a sign of respect and professionalism. It demonstrates your commitment and reliability. Being on time means planning ahead and anticipating potential delays. It involves setting reminders, estimating time requirements accurately, and allowing for unexpected obstacles. When you consistently meet deadlines and show up punctually, you build a reputation for dependability.
Habits are the building blocks of success. They automate your actions, making it easier to stay organized and timely. Start by identifying the habits that will benefit you the most, such as regular exercise, consistent sleep patterns, and dedicated work hours. Commit to these habits daily until they become second nature. Good habits streamline your day and contribute to a more productive and fulfilling life.
By mastering these three aspects – organization, punctuality, and forming good habits – you lay a solid foundation for success.
