Maintain records as necessary in a timely manner Make needed repairs to building components; make repairs that do not require special licenses, tools, or equipment Evaluate what is needed for repairs and stock with commonly used items Fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Wash and treat surfaces with oil, turpentine, mildew remover, or other preparations, and sand rough spots to ensure that finishes will adhere properly. Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Fill cracks or other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool.
